How to calculate website development cost

Website development cost is the sum of a few predictable parts. This is the exact method our calculator uses:

  1. Pick the website type

Every project starts with a base price for its type, from €600 for a landing page up to €1,800 for e-commerce.

  2. Count your pages

The first 5 pages are included. Each page after that adds €60.

  3. Add the features you need

Each feature is charged once, from €250 for SEO setup up to €700 for online payments. A contact form is always included.

  4. Add content and design

Copywriting adds €20 per page and sourcing photos adds €150. A fully custom design adds €300; a template-based design adds nothing.

  5. Apply your timeline

A deadline within a month adds 10% to the build cost and an urgent deadline adds 30%. Domain and hosting for the first year are added last.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. The calculator is completely free and without obligation. We ask for your business name, email and website so we can follow up on your estimate.

The calculator uses the same prices we quote from, and the range is at most €350 wide. Your final price is confirmed after a free discovery call.

A WordPress website follows the same pricing as any other site: a business website starts at €1,200 and an online store at €1,800, plus pages and features. Rebuilding an existing WordPress site adds a €300 migration fee.

A simple static website, such as a single landing page, starts at €600. A small site of up to 5 pages starts at €1,200. Choose "Landing page" or "Business / portfolio" in the calculator to see your range.

You can use it anywhere to understand what drives website cost, but our prices are in euros and reflect European agency rates. Website prices in India are usually lower, so treat the result as a European benchmark rather than a local price.

No. This calculator estimates what it costs to build or redesign a website. The selling price of an existing website depends mainly on its revenue, traffic and growth, which is a different calculation.

Many popular calculators, including the one from WebFX, are built around US pricing in dollars. Ours gives prices in euros, shows a line-by-line breakdown of the price, and keeps the range at most €350 wide.

VAT, yearly domain and hosting renewal and an optional monthly maintenance plan. Web apps and websites with 30 or more pages need a custom quote.

Each feature is a one-time cost: SEO setup €250, WhatsApp or CRM integration €300, multiple languages €400, online booking €500, login and user accounts €600 and online payments €700. A contact form is always included.

A simple website takes 2–3 weeks. A site with features like online booking or multiple languages takes 4–5 weeks, and a complex site with user accounts and payments 6–10 weeks.

With our Amsterdam studio, a website starts at €600 for a landing page, €1,200 for a business website and €1,800 for an online store, excluding 21% Dutch VAT. Every item has a fixed price, so you can see exactly what you pay for.
